Police have launched a murder investigation after a man was stabbed to death in Northolt.

The 21-year-old was attacked shortly after 10pm last night (Monday 2nd May). 

Police say officers on patrol found members of the public trying to help the man at the junction of Rowdell Road, Ealing Road and Kensington Road.

He was taken to hospital but was pronounced dead an hour later.

Police say the man's relatives had been informed but he had not been formally identified.

A post-mortem examination at Uxbridge Mortuary on Wednesday, 4 May gave cause of death as resulting from stab wounds

Detective Chief Inspector Lee Presland who is leading the investigation said:

"I would appeal to anyone who may have information regarding this incident to come forward and speak to police. Any information given would be dealt with in the strictest of confidence by specially trained detectives."
