A Northfields photographer has won a top prize for her striking picture of the Thames - taken from the Shard.

The image ' Sweet Thames Flows Softly' (pictured right) by Maggi Marmion from Northfields Camera Club, was described by the judges as ' a super view, gorgeous, extremely well observed.''

Maggi beat off comptetion from 71 other photos (12 of them from top clubs in North West London) and won the Park Street Interclub Competition Landscape Cup.

She says she took the photo last winter using a wide angle fisheye lens and worked on the image in Photoshop (using HDR technique).
