Bramley Gardens Christmas Tree Lights Switch-on

You are invited to join the tradition of switching on the Christmas Tree lights at Bramley Gardens, Northfields Ave, next to the Library, where we’ll be joined by children from the Log Cabin, hot chocolate and a choir with Christmas Carols

On Friday 7 December from 4:45pm with the lights on at 5:00pm

Money raised will go to the Log Cabin and the Blondin Consortium

“Meet the Councillor”

You are invited to join me for an informal drink at the next in my regular series of “Meet the Councillor” at

Florentine Café 198 Northfield Ave W13 9SJ Tuesday 11 December from 10:30am, and

The Harvester Boston Road W7 2AX on Wednesday 12 December from 7:30pm

We will be joined by Secretary of State for International Development Penny Mordaunt MP at the Wednesday 12 December event at the Harvester Royal. I have passion for international development, having volunteered many times over the past few years on social actions projects in Rwanda, Burundi and Tanzania. So I hope you can join us

These two events are informal ways to meet neighbours and catch up on local news.  You are asked to patronise the bar or cafe by buying a drink, as it wouldn’t be the done thing for me to buy them.

New high school in Northfields

The government is investing multi-million pounds in the new Ealing Fields High School in the heart of Northfields.  Find out more here

The school is part of the highly successful local Twyford CofE High School, which was named one of the top secondary state schools nationally in last week’s The Sunday Times.

There is significant need for more high school places for Ealing’s children, and Ealing Fields High School has already opened on a temporary site near Elthorne Park and Boston Manor Station.  After much consultation by the school with local residents and groups Ealing Council’s Planning Committee recently unanimously approved the new development on the ex-King Fahd on Little Ealing Lane.

I will ensure that the developers and the school keep in close touch with neighbours during the building work; and that the school is a good neighbour when it opens on this site in September 2020.

The Jewel that is Blondin Park

Blondin Park in the heart of Northfields and Little Ealing is a hidden gem.  I am working with local residents and groups to form a consortium to improve and run on behalf of the whole community.  Over time we all hope to create a sport hub, improve the wildlife area with more facilities for everyone who enjoys the open space. Find out more

Cars to “Go Green”

I have pressed the Council for well over a year to make electric car charge points available so we can consider switching from petrol and diesel. I am pleased that the council is now consulting on installing charge points across the Northfields, South Ealing and Boston Manor areas. Consultation here

Let’s stop more unauthorised encampments

Many thanks to all who have signed our petition asking Ealing Council to establish a borough-wide injunction to stop these unwanted encampments.  We’ve had several in the recent past in Northfields with many more across Ealing. The anti-social behaviour and disruption is totally unacceptable. So many residents have expressed their views by signing the petition that it has forced a debate in the Council Chamber. We’ll do all we can to get the Council to change its mind.
