Ward resident Simon Hayes has provided this update:

Ealing Fields High School building work to start in January and ‘should be completed’ in 18 months, it’s going to be ‘very closely monitored’ apparently to minimise disruption.

One resident raised concerns about evening events at the school causing parking problems so called for CPZ to be extended to combat this.

The new Northfields CPZ is due to go live on November 12. Road markings are going in now. Some concerns were raised about the loss of parking spaces but the decision has been made so it's too late now.

Electric vehicle charging points to be consulted on. Seems we are to get 10, mainly near Northfields and South Ealing stations.

20mph zone proposed for roads south of Little Ealing lane, including Windmill road but no detail about whether speed bumps to be included. Hounslow section of Windmill road has signs up about consulting on 20mph limit.

Much debate about the state of pavements due to trees and their roots and leaves. I mentioned one opposite where the branch broke off last year. It’s a disgrace nothing has been done about removing a clearly diseased tree. People should look out for fungus growing round the base of trees or dark, sticky discharge from bark as these are signs of disease.

There was also a bit about step free access to Northfields station but nothing new although 1700 names on petition.

And £66000 raised so far towards Blondin Park cafe, around £400K more needed!
