You are invited to join us on Wednesday 1 November from 10:30am at Florentine Café 198 Northfield Ave W13 9SJ for the next of our “Meet the Councillors” coffee mornings. It is not the done thing for elected Councillors to buy the coffee and pastries, but it is an opportunity in a relaxed setting to discuss any issues that you feel are important, and to meet other local residents.

Northfield Ward Forum

This is a more formal official council meeting where we discus matters of interest to the whole community.  The local Police attend and there is always an Open Forum for you to raise questions and general matters of interest.

The next forum will be held on Monday 13 November at 7:30pm at St Stephens House 62 Little Ealing Lane W5 4EA

Litter, Rubbish, Flytipping and Refuse collections

Local residents contact us multiple times daily (truly, multiple times daily) raising their issues.  There is more litter and flytipping since the council downgraded the service and only sweep the streets as little as every three weeks.  Please don’t hesitate to contact us Councillors so that we can escalate for you, and we can continue working with council officers regarding particularly bad grot-spots.

Over-development

We need more housing, but many of you have told us that it needs to be sympathetic within our suburban environment. Responding to many representations from neighbours, as Northfield Councillors, we recently objected to the Orion Park scheme, opposite Northfields Station, for 76 new flats, as it would be too imposing. We also objected to another controversial scheme to turn a family home into four small flats.  Unfortunately, against considerable local opposition, Ealing Council has approved both schemes.  However please share with us your views on other planning schemes so you can be sure your views are heard.

Keep in touch. We'd love to see you at one of these events.  Meanwhile please feel free to get in touch if you wish via our Facebook page or email
