Just Another Motivational Monday in Hanwell

A special guest spread some colourful cheer in W7

There are often plenty of strange sights in W7 but it's not everyday you see a man in a brightly coloured leotard.

But, for those in the know, this isn't just any man, it's 'Everybody Say YEAH!'... Mr Motivator (aka Derrick Evans).

The 90s fitness expert frequently graced the breakfast television screens ( along with the Green Goddess and Mad Lizzie - remember them?) with his neon lycra one piece, dynamic exercises and fun personality.

Now 65, nothing's changed and evidently Mr Motivator still has masses of people appeal.

Mr M was filming an advert in Hanwell ('motivating' people to check for PPI apparently ) and created quite a local stir.

He popped into a few shops, spoke to locals and was more than happy to have a number of selfies taken.

Manager of Iverson tyres, Ian Hutchinson said: ' I stopped for a quick pic. He's a cool guy.'

He certainly brightened up the day of customers at the 'Fade to Black' coffee shop, and manager Marie Fitzgerald said:

'' He was doing star jumps on the crossing outside and started waving at us all, he quickly came in and obliged a few fans with some selfies.''

All in all a rather colourful day that cheered everyone up.... maybe he could be persuaded to appear around different parts of the borough every Monday?
