Student filmmakers at Ealing’s MetFilm School are set to benefit from a unique partnership with Procam, Europe’s largest digital cinematography hire company.

Procam Group supplies production equipment to industry professionals throughout the world and is now providing state-of-the-art-equipment to Metfilm School students, allowing them to use professional, industry-grade kit from the get-go.

John Brennan, Procam Group CEO said, “Through our partnership, we are supporting the next generation of film and television professionals by providing emerging talent with the skills, confidence and opportunities that are necessary to advance aspiring careers in the industry.

“We are deeply committed to investing in talent, technology and innovation, and for these reasons, we’re honoured to partner with the world-leading MetFilm School as its exclusive camera supplier.”

Procam works with the biggest broadcasters, production companies, event organisers and music producers throughout the UK and internationally.

Jonny Persey, Director, MetFilm School said, “A coherent understanding of professional, industry-standard equipment gives our filmmaking students a real advantage in the industry; from being able to present this knowledge on their CVs to their ability to excel on set.

“We are absolutely delighted to be partnering with Procam; this real world experience of filmmaking technology really does put our students strides ahead in a competitive industry.”

Recently, Procam and Take2 Films sponsored the Smart Screen Creative Awards held in London's Soho.

Mr Brennan said: “It was a fantastic evening to recognise and celebrate the hard work accomplished by MetFilm’s students. Their passion, energy and talent were apparent across all the categories of screened shorts.

“We are thrilled to show our continued support for MetFilm School and this new generation of creative talent, to be witness to their creative, innovative and exciting storytelling and to be able to support them as they embark on their professional careers as filmmakers.”
