It will offer bespoke, hand-crafted, and one-off items produced by local makers including Ealing Mencap, Bead Sew Crafty, and Ealing & Hampshire House Photographic Society. Each item for sale will have a unique story behind its creation, and with the opportunity to purchase ‘design-your-own’ products, customers themselves will have the chance to be a part of those stories.

The Show Room is committed to sharing the vision of and playing a part in the rejuvenation of the shopping experience in West Ealing, offering a place for the community to connect and learn with like-minded individuals.

The Show Room is being launched by Ealing Mencap as part of their vision to challenge inequality and change attitudes towards learning disability. Less than seven percent of people with learning disabilities are in paid work; The Show Room will be offering a route to meaningful employment opportunities in conjunction with Ealing Mencap’s Dare To Dream employment training service.

The Show Room says that it offers an alternative choice for customers in the face of global brands.

The Grand Opening event will be on Saturday 8th April from 10.00am at 1-2 Leeland Road, West Ealing, W13 9HH.
