An mum of twins from Northfields has reached the finals of a blogging award for parents.

Hélène Eberhardt's blog, Croque-Maman www.croque-maman.com, is up not only for one but two 'MAD Blog Awards' - the UK’s largest independent awards programme - best new blog and best blog photography. She will be competing with four other finalists in each category.

More than 200,000 nominations were submitted in the awards this year, with just 75 blogs reaching the finals.

Hélène,32, said:

''I am delighted and amazed to have reached the finals. I started writing my blog at the end of last year to answer many of my friends’ questions, sharing what French mums cook and how they place food at the heart of family life.

''Croque-Maman was born. Croque-Maman now receives over 1,000 visits per month from people around the world and registers 300 active followers. Being a finalist means the world to me, and all my family and friends are so proud. Have a look at my website www.croque-maman.com and if you feel that I have what it takes please vote for me at www.the-mads.com.''

Hélène will find out if her blog is a winner in September, at a red carpet award ceremony in London. For the next month, readers can vote for her blog at www.the-mads.com.

Voting is open until midnight on 24 April 2014 and the winners will be announced during a gala awards ceremony in London on September 19th, 2014.
