Lorry Crashes Into Ealing Pub

Accident involving HGV at The Common Room on Uxbridge Road

A lorry has crashed into a pub close to Ealing Common.

Police say they were called at 17.42 to The Common Room on Uxbridge Road.

There are no injuries but they are currently at the scene dealing with the incident, which is not thought to be suspicious.

Ealing MPS tweeted:

We're currently dealing with a lorry that rolled into the side of The Common Room. There are Rd closures Uxb Rd J/W Park Grove. Please avoid

Scott Jones was at the scene shortly after the crash and says he heard the driver tell police that the vehicle had 'stopped working'.

He says  ''Thankfully no one was hurt but one girl narrowly avoided injury. It was clearly moving at some speed and the patrons wouldn't have been able to see it until the last minute.''
