After budget cuts forced a smaller scale version last year organisers of Pitshanger's 'Light Up the Lane' Christmas event are pleased to announce it will be back as normal this year.

Debbie Edwards PCA chair and events secretary said, ''We ran a concerted sponsorship and donations campaign in the Spring/early Summer, even to the extent of setting up a crowd funding website. Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors and many many donations, we are in a completely different position to last year – the event happens on Sunday at 4pm and is being run on the same lines as before, with a combination of an stage (allowing our local schools, dance schools and others to showcase their talents), a Christmas market and sporting activities.  So we are back in the position of being able to showcase Pitshanger Lane, with its 50+ independent traders, in the run-up to Christmas.''

Volunteers are always needed to manage the event. If you can help email volunteer@pitshanger.org.uk
