A new organisation, based in Hanwell, is helping young people on the right path to employment opportunities.

The Light Foundation offers skills-training, including CV skills, interview techniques and IT training, as well as on-going support in finding a job.

The aim of this not-for-profit group is to help reduce the high rate of youth unemployment through young people starting up their own businesses, or working with local training providers and businesses to gain skills and find employment.

It was set-up in 2012 by founder Rebekah Chimfwembe, whose passion is to help young people from all walks of life.

Rebekah herself knows what it means to be unemployed, sending out CVs, and getting little or no response. Her experience spurred her on to help others in the same situation and The Light Foundation began with the desire to help young people to discover their unique gifts, talents, dreams and ideas, and make them a reality.

If you are aged between 16 and 24 please contact 020 8567 9589 or contact light_foundation@ymail.com.
