Campaign Launched To Restore the Lammas Park Pavilion
Project team needs indications of support from locals to win funding

A campaign has been launched to restore and bring back into wider public use the dilapidated Edwardian pavilion in Lammas Park.
A new project in one of Ealing’s much loved parks has now been approved by the Mayor of London’s 2021 ‘Make London’ funding programme to help support recovery from the Covid-19 crisis.
The pavilion is a well-known local landmark, but it has seen better days. Fundraising has now begun to create a restored and refurbished building for all the community to enjoy.
In line with the early history of Lammas Park – in the 1880s, the land was purchased by the Ealing Local Board when it was feared that it might be lost as open space - there will be a particular focus on health and wellbeing. The exterior of the building will change as little as possible so as to preserve its ‘heritage’ features of distinctive shape and colour.
Before any public money can be received, the Project Team need to be able to show that there is strong local support for the project, so it is aiming to contact all those who have an affinity with the site to show their support for the project by making a pledge or leaving a message of support.

A series of consultation events is set to take place over the summer to engage with local people and existing community groups to hear their views about the project.
Initially the aim is to raise £20,000 to begin a programme of capital works required to restore and upgrade the building; Phase 1 is to secure funding for a Feasibility Study which will ultimately produce a final report showing how to progress.
The project team says the Feasibility Study will be carried out by independent, professional consultants who will assess the building volume constraints and create a plan aligned with defined community uses
