An Ealing sex club has lost its licence and is likely to close after councillors heard that dancers were found to be acting 'inappropriately' with clients.

LA Confidential - which calls itself ' the premier gentlemen's club' has been under the spotlight for breaches of regulations  after undercover officers visited the strip club following anonymous complaints.

They told the committee that they paid cash and were taken to a private VIP room where naked dancers performed sex acts, and offered to spend the night for £300.

The council's licensing officer Bob Dear tried to get CCTV evidence but found it to be 'unfit for purpose' and breaching conditions. The Police believe that the conduct of the premises show a complete disregard to the Licensing Objectives.

The licensing panel will officially publish its decisions within five days. Councillor Joanna Camadoo, Cabinet Member for Community Safety and Inclusion said: “The objections to the operation of this venue from the council, the police, local residents and resident associations have been upheld by the licensing panel. The decision not to renew or allow the transfer of the licence has been taken based on the evidence gathered of non-compliance and the licensing panel’s serious concerns about the operator’s ability to manage the licence responsibly. I would like to thank the council’s licensing team who led on this investigation and secured such a positive outcome for local residents and businesses.”

LA confidential has a period of 21 days to lodge an appeal during which it can continue to trade. If an appeal is lodged it can continue trading until the outcome of the appeal.
