Two men - one from Northolt - have been charged with murder following the shooting of Kerry Reeves, aged 26, from Abingdon.

Billy Johnson, aged 20, from Ripon Court, Corby, Northamptonshire, and Charles Noble, aged 20, from Kempton Avenue, Northolt, appeared at Oxford Magistrates’ Court on Thursday (12/11) and have been remanded in custody to appear at Oxford Crown Court on Monday (16/11).

Supt Jim O’Ryan Local Policing Area commander for South and Vale said:

“The past ten days have been a very difficult time for those living and working in Abingdon. Residents have been shocked and saddened by the murder of 26-year-old Kerry Reeves. Obviously our thoughts are very much with Kerry’s family and friends, and specially trained officers are continuing to support Kerry’s family during this harrowing time.

“While two people have been charged with murder, officers continue to investigate the circumstances leading up to Kerry’s death. This has resulted in a number of searches which have taken place in and around the town and we would like to thank the residents for their patience and tolerance while we carry out this vital work.

“If anyone has any concerns or wants to speak to the police about what has happened then we would ask them to speak to officers who are on patrol or call us on 101 using URN 794 11/11 or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.”
