A man who fled the scene of a car crash at Iron Bridge in Southall leaving occupants trapped and injured has been jailed for dangerous driving.

Majinder Singh 25 of Stormont Drive, Hayes was sentenced at Isleworth Crown Court on Monday, 5 June.

The court heard how the driver Singh and three passengers had been on a night out in the Wembley area.

Officers were called to Iron Bridge, Southall, at approximately 05:00hrs on Saturday, 10 September 2016 to reports of a road traffic collision which injured three men.

A black Hyundai coupe was involved in a collision with two parked cars.

London Ambulance Service and London Fire Brigade also attended the scene.

The driver made off from the scene prior to the arrival of police leaving two of the occupants trapped inside, one of whom received life threatening injuries.

Singh was subsequently arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving.

He was jailed for 20 months and disqualified from driving for four year.
