A town centre hotel chain is hoping to stand out from the rest by making use of Ealing's film and television history.

The newly built hotel ibis Styles is encouraging travellers to 'immerse themselves in the magic of the cinema' with the theme beginning in the 24-hour reception with screen lighting and walls adorned with artwork. Guests can expect mirrors bordered with faded movie reels, paparazzi shots and film posters.

The hotel has 120 bedrooms (including 16 special family rooms), are all in keeping with the magic of the cinema.

There are bedside tables fashioned from recycled film cans, lamps with ‘barn doors’ resembling mini studio lights and carpets woven with references to classic films. With 42inch TVs in every bedroom,  the hotel says it wants guests to 'feel like they’re in their own private cinema as they unwind'.

The hotel's PR blurb says, ''Along with quick and easy access to Central London, Ealing also offers a multitude of sights and activities. Guests can learn about Ealing Studios, wander around the 28-acre Walpole Park or soak up the relaxed atmosphere in one of Ealing Green’s many independent bars and restaurants. Leafy Ealing is often referred to as the ‘Queen of the Suburbs’ thanks to its bustling town centre and stunning Edwardian architecture.''

Dominic Sauls General Manager ibis Styles in Ealing says: “We are delighted to welcome guests to the hotel. We hope they will feel relaxed and revitalised at ibis Styles London Ealing, immersing themselves in the sights and sounds of the movies.

James Wheatcroft, Vice President Marketing, Accorhotels, said: “We’re committed to offering travellers access to unforgettable experiences while providing style and comfort at an affordable price. Each ibis Styles hotel has its own individual charm and personality, and ibis Styles London Ealing is no exception.

''Inspired by the world’s oldest film studio located nearby, the hotel reminds guests of the exciting world of movie-making and the escapist pleasure of a trip to the cinema. Ealing’s brilliant transport links offer the best of both worlds – a peaceful retreat in the leafy suburbs, with the buzz and excitement of Central London just 20 minutes away.”

Overnight stays start from £52 for a double room, bed and breakfast.
