A man from Northolt who's thought to have committed a high number of local robberies has been jailed.

Isleworth Crown Court heard that Daniel Hope, 30, of Blenheim Road, entered a property in Haymill Close, Greenford, between 07:00hrs and 23:00hrs on Tuesday 10th December and stole a laptop computer and various items of jewellery.

A forensic science officer found a fingerprint linking Hope to the incident and a week later he was located and arrested.

During police interview Hope indicated that he had committed a large number other offences.

In all, 14 residential burglaries, 12 non-residential burglaries, two attempted residential burglaries and one taking and driving away of a motor vehicle were attributed to him.

He was sentenced to two years and five months imprisonment.

Detective Constable Janine Horn, Serious Acquisitive Crime Unit in Ealing, said: “Hope is a prolific burglar whose activities over the years have brought misery to many victims. I am pleased that this custodial sentence will keep him off the streets of Ealing for the foreseeable future.”
