The Labour Party in Ealing have held onto their seat in Hobbayne ward in the by-election forced by the resignation of Lewis Cox.

Claire Tighe secured 53% of the vote which was slightly down on the proportion won by her party’s candidates in 2018 but an improvement on the by-election held in the same ward earlier in the year.

The result was declared in the early hours of Friday 17 September.

Turnout was just 31.1% compared to 48.8% in the previous by-election which was held at the same time as the Mayoral election.
