Developers who've been promoting Ealing as West London's premier borough have been given extra ammunition with the opening of a new up-market hotel.

The 'Crossrail effect' which is having an an impact on property prices in the area also appears to be encouraging new investment in the borough.

DoubleTree by Hilton, has just opened its doors to its newest London hotel - (previously the Ramada) on Hanger Lane in Ealing.

Located just a few minutes' walk from Ealing underground and overground station, the 189-room hotel is geared up for both business and leisure travellers.

The restaurant, W5 Grill & Bar, specialises in grill dishes, using locally sourced ingredients. The restaurant also features a terrace for al fresco dining.

Matt Williams, general manager, DoubleTree by Hilton London Ealing, said:
