Police have arrested a man at house in 'West London' on suspicion of terrorism offences in relation to Syria.

Local residents in Hanwell reported activity this morning near Boston Road but police won't reveal the exact location of this morning's raid.

They have confirmed that officers from SO15 Counter Terrorism Command arrested a 32-year-old man on suspicion of the following offences: = Fraud by false representation contrary to Section 2 of the Fraud Act 2006. = Arranging funding for the purpose of terrorism contrary to Section 17 of the Terrorism Act 2000.

He has been taken to a South London police station where he remains in custody.

Twelve addresses are being searched as part of the investigation, one in Hertfordshire and eleven in West London, under schedule 5 of the Terrorism Act 2000.

The searches are ongoing.

The police enquiries relate to an investigation into suspected terrorist activity in Syria.
