Police release a man arrested following post mortem results

A 28-year-old man initially arrested after the death of a women in Hanwell has been released under investigation.

Police were called by the London Ambulance Service at 12:11pm Thursday, 19 July to reports of a seriously injured woman in Uxbridge Road, W7.

Despite the best efforts of the emergency services, the woman, was pronounced dead at the scene at 12:50pm.

Folllowing reports in some newspapers police have stated that there was no evidence that she had been stabbed.

Police say the death is being treated as unexplained, but a post-mortem examination carried out at Fulham Mortuary (on Friday, 20 July) gave the cause of death as hanging.

She has been named locally as mother of one, Lilia Djairine, 24, whose family own the restaurant L'oro Di Napoli.

Detectives from Ealing are dealing and enquiries into the full circumstances are ongoing.

The Met's Homicide and Major Crime Command has been informed as is routine.
