Event can't take place in May but organisers looking to return this year
The organisers of the annual Hanwell Hootie have not abandoned hope of holding the event this year. The normal date in May is not possible due to continuing coronavirus restrictions but the team is working hard on alternatives. The most likely date would be in September with various measures in place to ensure the event remains Covid secure. More clarity on the situation should be available by this June when further announcements are expected. The team is also working on Hootie TV to allow full band performances to be livestreamed. Director of the Hanwell Hootie Andy Mcrobbie said, “As you can imagine it has been incredibly hard for any person to make plans for the future… let alone plan for one of the UK’s largest (and best) metropolitan music festivals! “We want to let you know that we are still very much alive and kicking and retain the same enthusiasm and willingness to put on amazing live musical events for you lovely people.
