Less sponsorship than in previous years but annual festival will go ahead

Despite cutbacks Hanwell Carnival is all set to party again this year on
Saturday 16th June.
The main parade
kicks off at 11am from Hanwell
Community Centre ending at Elthorne Park, for fun, food, music, and more, from 12
midday!

Carnival Chair 2018 Mike Gahan said:
“We are proud
to be London’s longest running independent
carnival, this year bringing our wonderful
community together to celebrate the theme‘Hanwell my home’.”
Carnival Committee member Helen Hardy said:
“We
want to thank Ealing Council for their
support this year: although we have had reduced
corporate sponsorship, which has led to a scaleddown
event, the Council and our local businesses
have given us tremendous help in kind. Without
their support, we would not be able to hold the
event.”
Attractions at the park will include the ever-popular
Dog show courtesy of Sit Dog Training; Animal zone with petting zoo and donkey rides; Sports zone
run by Brentford football with Cranford Archery Club and keep fit sessions by Combat Fit ;
Inflatable children's rides and funfair; Stalls with games and raffles to raise funds for community
