The Hanwell Carnival kicks off at around 11.30 with a colourful and noisy procession from Hanwell Community Centre in Westcott Crescent to Elthorne Park.

This year's theme is music and the centre's rich musical history is playing an integral part in the procession.

Not wanting to give too much away the organisers say watch out for Deep Purple, The Who, Charlie Chaplin and much more.

Bands on the music stage include the hugely popular home-grown talent of Et Tu Brucé and and Golden Manor Medicine Band.

The acoustic tent will also be keeping the crowds entertained and Ealing Rock Choir will be hosting a sing-a-long on the community stage.

There is a new musical addition to carnival this year. A choir festival will take place in St Thomas the Apostle Church, next to Elthorne Park, and it will no doubt prove a popular retreat for those wanting a quieter offering.

Other attractions at the carnival include a dog show, fun fair, rock climbing and go-karts.

There's a sports zone with Queens Park Rangers and an animal zone with a petting zoo, pony rides and crocodiles.

There'll be plenty of food and drink on offer, lots of community stalls and much much more!
