Police Officer Injured After Knife Attack in Hanwell

A police officer who'd been called to deal with an assault has been injured at an address in Hanwell.

Witnesses reported seeing seven police cars, two vans, a paramedic as well as the police helicopter at the scene on Cotts Close in W7 at 17.26pm (30th April)

When police arrived at the address officers were confronted by a man in his forties who was armed with a knife.

One male officer received an injury to his leg. He has been taken by London Ambulance Service to a west London hospital. His injuries are not believed to be serious.

No other officers were injured in the attack.

A man in his forties, has been arrested on suspicion of GBH and has been taken to an West London Police Station.

Enquiries are continuing.

Police in Ealing continue to investigate.
