Gurnell Leisure Centre Staff Save Man's Life

Gym user expected to return to thank staff today

Staff at Gurnell Leisure Centre have saved a man's life after he collapsed in the changing rooms.

It happened on 14th April around 10:30am in the morning. The Duty Manager and two colleagues responded to an emergency call and started CPR and used a defibrillator.

After one shock the man's heart started again and ambulance crews took him to Hammersmith hospital.

This morning the man will be returning to Gurnell to thank the 3 staff involved, Thomas Arnold, Mark Cameron and Adolfo Ventero de la Peña.
