Current proposals are that the existing centre which was built in 1981 is likely to close September 2018 with a new facility opening in 2021 (subject to planning approval).

As well as the new centre, the £37.7m regeneration will provide facilities in the park area next to it, including a playground, skate park, BMX track, trim trail and distance marker routes.

The new facility will be funded through the building of more than 600 new homes on the site - 275 private sale properties and 333 private rental properties, There has been some controversy over what many see as a lack of affordable housing and a petition was signed by over 2,000 people.

The proportion of units which would be affordable housing is yet to be determined, but the council and developers  say they 'are actively considering providing a proportion of the rental properties at a discounted rent'.

The meeting will take place Wednesday 21st March 7-8.30pm at Gurnell Grove Community Centre W13 0AR

Core topics to be covered at the meeting will include: leisure facilities, housing and public realm.
