A man's been viciously stabbed in an apparent random attack in Greenford.

On Friday, 25 September at around 20:30hrs, a 51-year-old man was walking in Windmill Lane when he was set upon from behind by two men and stabbed ten times.

He was taken to hospital where he is now in a stable condition after undergoing surgery.

Suspect 1 is described as black, 5ft 11ins tall, 18 to 20 years old and of medium build. He was wearing dark coloured tracksuit bottoms and a hooded track top.

Suspect 2 is described as of Arabic or Indian appearance, 5ft 9ins tall, 18 to 20 years old and of slim build. He was wearing matching dark coloured tracksuit bottoms and hooded top.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Talat Taj, Ealing CID, said: "This appears to be a motiveless, unprovoked attack on an innocent man.

"The nature of the assault could have resulted in a far more serious outcome so these men have to be caught as a matter of urgency.

"I need witnesses to this incident, or anyone who has information about the attack, to contact me urgently."
