Would you find it easier to exercise and keep fit if there was more of a purpose to it? Well, a company called Goodgym might have just the thing for you and at Bodyline Fitness, we are involved in trying to introduce them to Ealing.

The general idea is that once or twice a week you meet up to take part in a run/jog of a distance suitable for your fitness levels and at some point in that run you stop off to do some voluntary work in your community.

You may just do a very short run to a local community centre to help paint a room, or maybe a slightly longer run to a community garden to help clear it and maintain it or just go to an elderly person’s home to make them a cup of tea or change a light bulb.

Each group is led by a specifically trained leader who leads you to the project, supervises your work there and then leads you back to the meeting point where you can get changed and go home, feeling fit, healthy and proud of your good deeds!

Goodgym is currently active in towns and cities around the UK and we would love to be part of the process that brings Goodgym to Ealing

If you would like to find out more then please click on the Goodgym website link for Ealing http://www.goodgym.org/proposals/ealing

You can also register as a member and/or a runner; we need to reach 10 members and 20 runners to get the group started; as you will see from the website we are on our way to reaching those targets.
