Teenagers got the chance to quiz a professional footballer when Brentford FC goalkeeper Simon Moore dropped in at a youth project in Hanwel last week.

He was visiting the Brentford FC Community Sports Trust Kickz Project at Hanwell Community Centre, in Westcott Crescent.

As well as football, the project runs a range of activities, including a youth club for young residents of the Copley Close Estate.

Simon spent time chatting to the 12 to 18-year-olds as well as watching the warm-ups and 5-a-side matches that take place at the sessions.

He took part in a group photographs, then signed autographs and answered questions.

Kickz Project Manager Krishan Puran said, ''Simon’s appearance proved really popular, it gave a lot of inspiration and joy to our participants who have never met a professional footballer in their own neighborhood before.

'' Having the support of the Brentford first team adds so much more value to the Kickz programme not only at Copley but also throughout our wider community.

''A player visit really does bring the football club closer to the local people. Simon was a great ambassador for the club, he was extremely friendly and very interactive with our participants, posing for photograph’s and signing programmes, they all loved him!’'
