Proposals to use Blondin Park as a site to host a fun fair have now been ruled out.

Ealing Council's events department contacted Northfield Councillor, David Millican, informing him that due to bad weather this year's Bob Wilson's funfair was unable to make use of the scheduled locations elsewhere in the borough and have lost considerable revenue.

They were seeking to rectify this by adding new dates and different locations. Blondin Park was initially identified as a possible location however, after seeking local opinion Cllr Millican registered his objection.

He tells Ealing Today: '' I am pleased to say that the council have just decided that they will not allow a funfair to be held in Blondin Park. Thank you to all who expressed your views so strongly … it made a real difference Blondin Park is lovely community park and clearly not the right place for all the inconvenience and noise that a funfair would attract.''
