Care Home Fire Under Investigation

Blaze on second floor of Madeley Road home

London Fire Brigade say 19 people escaped a fire at a residential care home on Madeley Rd, W5.

The fire broke out around lunchtime on Monday (21st April ).

15 residents and 4 members of staff evacuated the building before the arrival of the Brigade.

Around half of the second floor was damaged by the fire and crews worked hard to stop the blaze from spreading further.

21 firefighters and officers from Acton, Wembley and Heston fire stations attended the incident.

The Brigade was called at 1250 and the fire was under control by 1359.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
