Pressure is mounting on Empire to come clean and explain its intentions for Ealing's neglected cinema site.

The former UGC on the Broadway was demolished nearly two years ago to make way for a new 16 screen cinema but the only work that has started so far is to turn part of the site into a temporary car park.

This has sparked fears about Empire's long term intentions  and led to local resident Kuldeep Brar setting up an online petition to save Ealing's Cinema. Council Leader Julian Bell says it's 'criminal' that Ealing has no cinema and many local businesses have given their backing. Kuldeep spoke to them:

 

There will be a full debate held in Council once the petition reaches 1500 signatures - it's nearly there.
