There's still time to enter the award winning Ealing Half Marathon on Sunday 25th September 2016.

With just under three months to go until race day, the West London race is quickly filling its 8,000 spaces as runners from all over the UK and abroad secure their spot on the start line. It promises to be the biggest year yet for the race which was introduced in 2012 as a legacy to London’s Olympic Games, and which has since been voted the UK’s best half marathon for the last three years at the prestigious Running Awards.

Now is the ideal time to sign up for the Ealing Half Marathon as its early autumn date lends itself perfectly to a summer training plan. There are many excellent 12-week half marathon training plans, and the long summer days make it both feasible and enjoyable to put these plans into place. For beginner, amateur and established runners, the Ealing Half Marathon is a fantastic goal to cap a summer of running.

With training plans in mind, sports performance brand ASICS is the official sportswear and training partner of the Ealing Half Marathon for the third year running. ASICS will be supporting the 2016 race and runners with assets like MY ASICS, an online training tool that helps runners to achieve their running goals and set up individual training plans for their chosen distance.

In addition to the training plans, runners are able to log their runs, find useful information and communicate and share their progress with other runners via the MY ASICS Facebook app – a timeline filled with support and advice to keep runners motivated from start to finish. The free app is available on smart devices here.

Race Director Kelvin Walker commented: “We are excited that it is less than three months now until the Ealing Half Marathon 2016 and remaining spaces are being snapped up by people wanting to experience the #EalingFeeling. It has been a great year for us, being voted the UK’s best half marathon for the third consecutive year at The Running Awards, and this year’s race is promising to be bigger and better than ever.

“We are delighted to welcome ASICS to Ealing once more and would encourage anyone taking part to track their training on MY ASICS. Those just signing up now can devise their own personal training plan and be fully fit and ready to run come race day!

“As always, we are grateful to all the community support which makes the Ealing Half Marathon possible and which ensures a wonderful atmosphere on race day. Now is the perfect time to sign up, and we are looking forward to filling the streets again for the UK’s best half marathon!”

The Ealing Half Marathon starts and finishes in Lammas Park and features a 13.1 mile route on closed roads around the leafy streets and parks of the West London Borough.

The race is looking forward to welcoming 8,000 runners of all abilities to its fifth anniversary race on Sunday 25th September 2016. It is well known for its huge support and lively atmosphere.

Runners can secure a general public place or choose to run for one of the race’s three official charity partners: Alzheimer’s Society, Cancer Research UK and CLIC Sargent.
