Residents are warned it might be noisy
Ealing residents have been sent an outline of the work Network Rail and their contractors are undertaking in the next week and there are warnings of noise disturbance. Crossrail works at Ealing Broadway will improve the station and the current cramped entrance and ticket hall will be made much lighterand more spacious. In addition, new lifts will provide step free access from street level to all platforms. Saturday 14th November - Friday 20 November Sat - Friday 8am-6pm Work on Haven Green to set up Crossrail site compound including the use of excavators and dumpers. The former shops to the front of station will be used as site offices and welfare facilities for the workforce Sat 9pm - Sunday 9am Installation of piles for the new escape footbridge to the London end of platforms1-4 at Ealing Broadway station including the use of a road rail vehicle (RRV) and pile hammer. Delivery of cables and other equipment to locations along the trackside using two RRVs. Delivery of cable ductingto trackside between West Ealing and Hanger Lane using track trolleys and workers on foot. Surveys including digging shallow holes into embankment to check ground conditions Weekdays 9pm - 7am
