A man's been killed after being hit by a train at Ealing Broadway yesterday.

A British Transport Police (BTP) spokesman said:

''BTP officers were called to Ealing Broadway station on Wednesday, 9 July following a report that a man had been struck by a train.

''Paramedics from the London Ambulance Service also attended and the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

''The incident was first reported at 2.11pm and is currently being treated as non-suspicious.

“Officers are working to identify the man and inform his family.

“A file will be prepared for the coroner.”

The line was handed back to Network Rail at 3.35pm.

Train Operator First Great Western reported the incident on social media and added:

''If you've been affected by what happened at Ealing Broadway today, or are worried & want a confidential chat, call Samaritans: 08457 909090''
