Police will be returning to the scene of a knife attack at an Ealing pub on Sunday (17th March) in a bid to get more evidence.

Last Sunday (10 March) officers were called at around 11.30pm to reports of a man having been attacked outside The Shanakee pub off Ealing Broadway, W5.

Officers and London Ambulance Service attended and found a 49-year-old man suffering what appeared to be slash wounds to the face, head and neck.

The man was taken to a central London hospital in critical condition. The man has been discharged after extensive stitching of multiple wounds to his torso and face.

The assault is being investigated by officers from Ealing Borough's CID.

Officers are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with any information to contact them and they will be at the scene outside the pub from 8pm on Sunday, 17 March handing out appeal leaflets.
