A popular initiative to bring new and original bands back into Ealing's pubs, will be relaunching in a new venue in the New Year.

Ealing Live, will be hosting music at The Drapers Arms in central Ealing, - the first date already scheduled for 31 January 2020.

Kicking off around 8pm, the event will feature three emerging bands chosen for the quality of their songs and their ability to put on a great show. Each will play for 40 minutes and entry is free.

Ealing Live was launched in 2018 by local indie band Near Death Experience (NDX), who released their debut album Mouth To Mouth last July, with the four-piece outfit regularly featuring on the roster. The initiative is supported by longstanding non-profit local music heritage organisation The Ealing Club.

NDX singer Ian Whiteling said: “We are delighted and excited to be taking Ealing Live to The Drapers Arms for its first 2020 outing, it’s a fantastic pub smack in the heart of Ealing, one of the birth places of popular music in the UK. It’s just a short walk from Ealing Broadway station, with a wonderful atmosphere and a fine selection of food and drink for people to enjoy while experiencing our great line up of acts.

“Ealing Live is all about enabling more people to experience new and original music live in the friendly atmosphere of a local pub. The initiative has been going well since its launch and we’re always looking for new pubs to come on board and share the Ealing Live experience with their customers.”

The Drapers Arms is located on 24-25 High Street, Ealing, close to Ealing Broadway tube and rail station.

The line up of acts will be announced in early January.
