Tools stolen from construction site at Ealing Fields High School
A school in Ealing which had just hosted a visit from the Prime Minister was hit by burglars the following day. Boris Johnson came to Ealing Fields High School on Monday (29 June). He was there to promote a government announcement on new funds to be given for the repair and expansion of schools across the country. The recently opened school still has an ongoing construction project to build new classrooms on Little Ealing Lane which they are hoping to complete by September. The Prime Minister visited the school’s site at Wyke Gardens where he met members of the construction team. Mr Johnson visited the restored historic building at the centre of the site then toured the new teaching block – including the café and science laboratories. However at some point between 5.50pm the following day and 6.45am on 1 July thieves entered the construction site via the gates on Convent Gardens. They cut the padlock and stole a large number of tools from the site. The police are asking anyone who lives in the vicinity if they have CCTV or Ring Doorbell footage to get in touch.
