A member of Ealing Eagles Running Club has set a very unusual World Record.

Pardip Singh Minhas completed the Hillingdon Half Marathon on Sunday 19th February in a time of 1 hour 37 minutes. This would be a great time in running shoes, however that would be too easy for Pardip who achieved this time running in flip flops!

Breaking the World Record for the fastest time to complete a half marathon wearing flip flops was part of Pardip’s training for this year’s London Marathon, which he is also planning to complete in his distinctive and unusual choice of footwear.

Pardip’s London Marathon challenge is in aid of Revitalise Respite Holidays.

Revitalise is one of the largest providers of respite care holidays for people with disabilities in the UK. Without any government or lottery funding Revitalise provide around 5,000 breaks each year and welcome 1,600 volunteers to help them create a truly memorable holiday experience for people who need 24 hour nursing.

More information on Pardip’s story and his fundraising activities can be found at www.justgiving.com/fundraising/Pardip-Singh-Minhas2.
