The RSPCA is investigating after a dog was stabbed to death in a residential area of Southall.

Chaos was an eight year-old male Staffordshire bull terrier cross, tan with a black muzzle. He often walked in this area, was healthy, and had been with his owner since he was a puppy.

Officers were called out on Thursday (2 March) after he received two fatal stab wounds to his body.

His owner had been taking him on a walk along an alleyway on Havelock Estate, near Swift Road, at around 3pm, and reported that the dog had gone over to a group of six to eight youths and been attacked with a flick knife.

He flagged down a passing member of the public, who rushed him and Chaos to the RSPCA’s Putney Animal Hospital, but very sadly the dog died in transit.

RSPCA Deputy Chief Inspector Broster said: “This sounds like a very disturbing incident and a completely senseless attack on a defenceless animal and we are extremely concerned.

“We urge anyone with any information at all to contact us, in strictest confidence, on 0300 123 8018.”
