A cyclist has been injured after falling off his bike on the Uxbridge Road in Hanwel this Wednesday (28 August)l.

Eye witnesses say the Air Ambulance landed in Brent Meadow and police and ambulance crews attende just opposite the Viaduct Pub near Half Acre Road.

The police say this wasn't a road traffic collision but the male cyclist had fallen from his bike and hurt himself and he has been taken to hospital.

A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said, "We were called at 8:13am today to Uxbridge Road, Hanwell, to reports of an incident.

"We sent an incident response officer, two single responders in cars and an ambulance crew. We also dispatched London's Air Ambulance.

"We treated a man at the scene for head injuries and took him by road to a major trauma centre, as a priority."
