The cyclist who was critically injured after being hit by a van on Northfield Avenue on 25 May has died in hospital.

75-year-old Frank Cubis, from Perivale passed away on 5 July. Mr Cubis was an enthusiastic cyclist and a popular member of the Kingston Phoenix Road Club.

The collision occurred between Mr Cubis and a flatbed transit van at the junction of Northfield Avenue and Salisbury Road at around 9.45am.

London's Air Ambulance also attended the scene with the air ambulance landing in Lammas Park.

Mr Cubis was taken to a central London hospital where he remained until his death.

The male driver of the van stopped at the scene and continues helping detectives with their enquiries. He was not arrested but was interviewed under caution.

Detectives are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the collision, or the events leading up to the collision, to contact them.
