Police appeal for witnesses after incident this morning

An elderly cyclist has been critically injured after being hit by a van on Northfield Avenue this morning (25 May).
A collision occurred between the cyclist and a flatbed transit van at the junction of Northfield Avenue and Salisbury Road at around 9.45am.
Officers, London Ambulance Service and London's Air Ambulance also attended the scene with the air ambulance landing in Lammas Park..
The 76-year-old victim was taken to a central London hospital where he remains in a critical condition.
The male driver of the van stopped at the scene and is currently helping detectives with their enquiries. He was not arrested but is being interviewed under caution.
