Following the death of a cyclist after a road traffic collision on the Uxbridge Road in West Ealing protesters are calling on Ealing Council to make the road safer.

They will be holding a demonstration in Ealing on Saturday 28th October starting at the Town Hall. Protesters will then ride/walk up Springbridge Road, around Haven Green before turning right onto Uxbridge Road and ending up in Dean Gardens - close to where the accident occured - where there will be speeches.

The aim of the march is to call on Ealing Council to make the Uxbridge Road safer for pedestrians, wheelchair users, mobility scooters, and those who cycle by enforcing the removal of illegally parked cars, as  well as installing safer pedestrian crossings and safer cycle lanes.

Organiser Ben Owen said:

''  I want this to be an all-inclusive demonstration and would like to see all the above groups on the demo. Anyone who is not riding a bike can join the route at any part of it, or walk the whole length of it.''
