Crossrail has sent a letter to neighbours warning of noise and disturbance around the Ealing Broadway area throughout December as work continues on the Elizabeth Line.

Over the remainder of 2016 and during 2017, work will be ongoing to extend platforms, install and upgrade the mechanical, electrical, communication and security equipment, carry out snagging worksto the escape footbridge and install foundation bases, ducts and new drainage systems.

In order to achieve a safe working environment and minimise disruption to the operation of the railway, certain work must take place at night or during weekends.

Mobile screens/barriers or enclosures will be placed around the breaking equipment and other noisy hand-held tools, where practical to do so.

Crossrail apologise for any disruption and say they aim to minimise the impact on local residents and rail users.
