40 firefighters tackled incident at block in Craven Avenue

Two men have been taken to hospital after fire broke out at a block of flats in Ealing town centre this Tuesday morning (17 September).

Six fire engines and 40 firefighters were called to Craven Avenue at 5.27 am.

One man had left the building before the fire service arrived, another was rescued by crew wearing breathing apparatus. Both men have been take to hospital.

London Fire Brigade say a flat on the second floor of the block was badly damaged and a small part of the outside of the building was also damaged.

Crews from Ealing, Acton, Southall, Chiswick and Wembley attended. Surrounding roads were blocked off.



The cause of the fire is under investigation.
