Many individuals and local businesses are doing their bit to try and help out during the current crisis.

The Ealing Covid-19 Mutual Aid on the social media platform Facebook has seen many examples of kindness and community support.

A variety of firms and locals have been offering food and other goods to NHS workers and those in need.

The latest is an ice-cream company which is calling on residents in Ealing to nominate local community heroes for a sweet treat.

Currently open only for takeaway and delivery, Creams Ealing has partnered with Deliveroo, Just Eat and Uber Eats on the initiative to reward and say thank you to the nation’s everyday heroes, including NHS workers, delivery drivers, supermarket staff, and other key workers.

Those nominated will each receive an Indulgence Bundle delivered to their door, including treats such as a freshly baked waffle with sweet toppings and gelato.

Adam Mani, CEO Creams Café, said: “We want to bring Creams’s famous sweet treats to those who deserve them most at this incredibly difficult time.  It’s a chance for us to create a little moment of excitement and indulgence for all the people out there who are making a real difference to their communities. This is about celebrating their fantastic efforts and sharing their stories with the wider world.”

You can nominate local heroes via Creams’s social channels, Instagram (@creamscafeUK), and Facebook (Creams Café), and share the story behind their nomination.
