Members of the Ealing based The Orchestra of Love and Redemption (OLR) have produced a video of the Special’s song Ghost Town during lockdown.

The community guitar orchestra came together to perform as a way to entertain fans and keep themselves busy.

Their efforts received the ultimate accolade when original Specials Band member Neville Staple gave the video his seal of approval.

The video was produced entirely online as rehearsals and gigs were cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Band leader Nev Hawkins said: "During these challenging times, the project has given the OLR focus as a band.

"It’s been a lot of fun and an encouraging experience for everyone who has participated in the project, culminating in an entertaining video/soundtrack memento of the lockdown."

The video, which was edited by Pino Agnello. features OLR members playing their guitars at home and shots of Ealing’s empty streets during lockdown.

The soundtrack was arranged and produced by Nev Hawkins and features vocalist Rico Wilko.
